One Therapy counselling London since 2006

Starting counselling can be confusing. Our experienced counsellors and psychotherapists will be clear and supportive from your first appointment.

A good therapist is someone you can talk to about anything. It is through this unique relationship that you will begin to make sense of whatever is concerning you.

One Therapy began in 2006

We began seeing clients at our first practice near Oxford Circus in 2006. Today, we are still in Oxford Circus and also have practices in Bloomsbury, Kensington and Brighton.

We choose our therapists carefully

Because the relationship between client and therapist is so important, we select only the most approachable, professional and effective therapists to join our team. Our therapists are not silent. We achieve results by working with each client using a collaborative, personalised approach.

We’re enthusiastic about your therapy

We take our work very seriously and our focus is on providing the highest quality therapy possible. Successful therapy is based on the confidential, non-judgemental relationship that develops between each client and therapist. To maintain that relationship and make progress in therapy, clients should be committed to attending their appointments.

Providing a safe space

Discussions in counselling are confidential. We do not discriminate on any grounds and your therapist will not judge your behaviour, personal choices or past experiences. In therapy, you may discuss anything that is on your mind.

Online or in-person counselling - which is better?

Therapy is not like any other appointment you might have.

Most of our clients choose face-to-face counselling and meet with their counsellor or psychotherapist at one of our London offices. Some clients prefer online appointments if getting to our offices is difficult. Which is best? Most people agree that face-to-face therapy is the most effective type of counselling, though online therapy is a good alternative. Both types of therapy work. Hybrid therapy combines face-to-face and online sessions, and this is becoming a popular and convenient approach.

A first meeting with us can be arranged here.

One of London's most trusted counselling providers

Counselling can be used to address any concern and our therapists have experience helping with most personal issues.

Appointments are usually held weekly. Wherever possible, we try to find an appointment time that is convenient for our clients. Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 7.30 am until 8.30 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm.

Our clients may end therapy at any time simply by letting us know.

How does therapy help?

Over the years that I’ve worked as a therapist, I’ve been asked numerous times by prospective clients, “How does counselling help?”  And I’ve yet to come up with a satisfactory answer. Not because I’m in any doubt that it helps, but because the ‘how’ bit is so hard to articulate concisely…

What to expect in counselling
